Stowmarket Chorale aspires to make the joy of great choral music accessible to all in East Anglia, enriching the lives of our singers and community.
Stowmarket Chorale, ‘The Choir in the Heart of Suffolk’ is an ambitious, enthusiastic & friendly community choir, with a long history of promoting vocal music to a wide audience. With enjoyment & musical confidence as priorities for all singers, we rehearse on Wednesday evenings for three concert performances a year, with professional soloists & orchestra.
Stowmarket Chorale is known for offering a friendly welcome to anyone coming along to try us out. We believe musical confidence and enjoyment are key and rehearsal programmes are tailored to support and engage everyone as we work towards giving uplifting performances. Our rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm between September and July for three concert performances a year with professional soloists and orchestra.
We were founded in 1901. In 2026, the choir will celebrate its 125th anniversary with two major performances in Stowmarket.
